Arrival + Check-in
Check-in is at 3pm. On the morning of your arrival we will send you a message with the door access code (except for glamping tents because they do not have a "door" ). We will also ask you to tell us your arrival time (see button below) so our housekeeping staff can plan their day accordingly.
Early Check-in
If you will be in the area before 3pm, you can request early check-in. We a free early check-in service where we do our housekeeping team does its best to get you in early. This is a best effort service--no guarantees. We also offer a Priority Early Check-in service for a small fee that is guaranteed to get you in as early as possible.
Arrival
When you arrive at the Desert of Maine you will see the main parking lot for the Desert of Maine tourist attraction. There is no need to stop at the Welcome Center to check in. The staff who work in the Welcome Center and mini golf course work with the day visitors who come to our tourist attraction. The check-in process for our campground is entirely self-service! Simply drive down through the parking lot (follow the campground signs) and find your site number.
Wi-Fi
Make sure to connect to our guest Wifi network when you arrive so that you can stay connected to the things that matter most to you.

Need Directions?
We are located at 95 Desert Road in Freeport, Maine. Take exit 20 from 295 and head north 2 miles to the dead end of Desert Road. The easiest way to navigate is to search for “Desert of Maine” in your navigation app. When you arrive at the Desert of Maine, follow the sign to the campground, left through our lower parking lot until you see the entrance to the campground.
