A Desert in Maine?

Sand dunes stretch back towards a deep green forest and soft grey clouds blanket the sky above.

What is this place?

You’ve arrived at a nearly 100-year old tourist attraction, which also has a mini golf course and an variety of activities and features that are designed to engage people in the history, geology, and ecology of this unique place.

It’s hard to sum up thousands of years of history into a short and fun explanation so we made a fun, animated history video just for you!

Oasis Snack Bar

We have a small snack bar adjacent to the Welcome Center which operates throughout the season with the same hours as the mini golf course. We serve coffee, lemonade, grilled hot dogs, kielbasa, veggie sausages, and scooped ice cream! We also have locally-made baked treats like banana bread and coffee cake. If you need a treat and don’t want to go far, stop by the Oasis!

In the foreground, a bright magenta-colored cup of blueberry lemonade sits next to a white cup of ice cream topped with rainbow sprinkles on a brown picnic table, and a wooden playground structure stands in the background.
